Walking With Anthony, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries (SCI), and the Washington Redskins Alumni will be hosting a Charity Celebrity Golf Tournament & Dinner at the prestigious Country Club of Fairfax in Fairfax, Virginia to benefit those affected by spinal cord injuries. • The inaugural fundraising event will feature a fabulous day of golf with Washington Redskins greats followed by an exclusive dinner reception featuring live entertainment, silent/live auctions, awards and prizes. • Former Washington Redskin, and local radio personality for ESPN 980, Rick “Doc” Walker will serve as the emcee for the dinner.

The event will honor world renowned leader in complex spinal surgery, Dr. John K. Starr of Washington Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Walking with Anthony will also honor local spinal cord injury patients for their courage to become healthier, stronger and gain independence. • Comedian Larry “LaLa” Lanehart will appear as a special guest at the event.

100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit Walking with Anthony which was inspired by Anthony Purcell, a young man who was paralyzed during a tragic accident in 2010, but can now stand with the help of a walker. Walking with Anthony is dedicated to raising awareness of the impact of spinal cord injuries (SCI), raising funds to provide financial assistance for SCI victims, expand rehabilitation centers and supporting research relating to SCI rehabilitation.
