Everything you need to know about AmazonSmile

AmazonSmile is a free feature Amazon offers to its users. With it, our customers can search/buy whichever item you wish from Amazon and make a donation to Walking with Anthony at no extra cost to you.

It is a program that allows our supporters to make donations while buying from Amazon for free as long as the item you’re buying is eligible for the AmazonSmile program. It also allows other Non-profit organizations to sign up for it for free and be eligible to receive donations as long as they match Amazon’s criteria. You can donate not just to Walking with Anthony, but also to more than one million charitable organizations, such as the World Wildlife Fund, St. Jude Children’s hospital, PTSD Foundation of America, and the Omaha Zoological Society, among others.

To use it, you just need to search “AmazonSmile” on your web browser and sign up for it the way you would do it with your regular Amazon account:

In case you don’t have an Amazon account, you can create one by going to the regular Amazon site and clicking on login.

After login in, you’ll have to scroll down the page and click on the “Get started” button to set Walking With Anthony as your preffered organization:

Next, you can search for Walking With Anthony by clicking “search”:

After you find, you’ll have to select us to set Walking with Anthony as your preffered charity:

Once you’ve done this, you can browse and search for your favorite items the same way you’d normally do it. After selecting the item you’re interested in, you’ll see a line of text that’ll read “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” immediately below the price of your item:

After you complete the purchase, Amazon will automatically donate 0.5% of the price of your order to us with no extra costs or fees to you!

The program works as a separate domain integrated with the main Amazon site using the same database of products and connected to the same database of users, but with a different URL structure than the normal Amazon website. One way for you to make sure that you’re on the right page, is by checking that the URL which comes up on your search bar has the “smile.” prefix before “Amazon”:
