Peter Brady
Peter Brady dove into the shallow end of a friend’s pool on Memorial Day 2012. Paralyzed from the neck down, Peter suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury at the C3-C4 level of his vertebrae. An avid athlete prior to the accident, Peter played with the Eden Volleyball Club and had recently finished his freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh. In November, 2013, his fraternity brothers at the Pennsylvania Iota Chapter of Phi Delta Theta hosted an inaugural “Phiathalon”, a philanthropic event designed to raise money for their brother Peter Brady. In February of 2014, Peter became the owner of an FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) bike due to their creative fundraising efforts and has been able to advance in his recovery.
Ready to take his rehabilitation further, Walking With Anthony awarded Peter the opportunity to go to Strides SCI in San Juan Capistrano to get deeper into his recovery. Congratulations Peter for the faith in SCI Recovery! We are in your corner!!
